Since 2011, France has celebrated its love and passion for gastronomy during the last weekend of the summer. Having earned a place on UNESCO’s list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, the festival features a new theme each year.
From the 23rd to the 25th of September this year, chefs and restaurants all over France will offer special menus to the public. Connoisseurs, celebrity food critics, locals and travellers from all over the world come together to try classic and new dishes, learn about topics such as pairing wine and dishes, cooking tips and more. For a full list of events and news, please visit the festival’s official English website.

To commemorate the event, here is TV5 Monde Asia's quick pick of some of our favourite French dishes. From cheese, poultry to veggies, there’s something for everyone.
