The Fondue au Chocolat or Chocolate Fondue Recipe

A Fondue au Chocolat is perfect for a romantic dinner, for a kid’s party, Easter, Valentine’s Day… And the good thing is that you can really personalize it by choosing any dip you like (candies, chocolates, sweets, fruits…). One of our favourite chefs 
on TV5MONDERicardo, has an excellent recipe just for you: 





For 4 to 6 people
Preparation time: 15 min
Cooking time: 10 min


Ingredients:
310 mL or 1 ¼ cups cream (35% fat)
454g (1lb) dark chocolate, coarsely chopped (or a mixture of both)





PREPARATION: 

1. In a small saucepan, bring the cream to a boil. Keep an eye on it, it can easily overflow.
2. Remove the pan from the heat and add the chocolate. Let it melt for 2 minutes.
3. With a whisk, gently stir until smooth.
4. Pour the chocolate mixture into a fondue pot and place it over low heat.
5. Dip fresh fruit cut into chunks, marshmallows or firm cake cubes.
 
 
NOTE: 

If you find your fondue to be too thick, add 60 ml (1/4 cup) of 35 % cream.
